New Pioneer 1/32nd Scale Southern Ford Dealers 1968 Mustangs
Here is a quick photo review of the latest pony cars from the Pioneer stable. These models are fictional paint schemes but I think they work perfectly and really compliment the current series.
Red, white and blue. I like those colors. Both of these models have a color contrast that although very different, gives you the sense of a 1:1 race team as they are intended.
Markings and paint are excellent and a have a very nice and durable clear coat.
The hint of gold with the solid blue model is a nice touch. I especially think the wheels accents the car better than any other color choice.
On the track they look fantastic. No, they never raced in 1:1 scale but does that really matter? For some enthusiasts it does but the majority of us could care less. If they "look and feel" like entries that might have been in Trans-Am, then that is good enough for us.
And for a lot of you out there as well. Want to know a little trivia? The prior Black & Gold Racing team shown in our first review outsold the "real" 1:1 models! Why? Because they simply look the part and are very attractive.
Placement of the decals and choices of contingency sponsors make them this acceptable for me.
What a great detail to add on the back. I'll bet many racers out there appreciate this.
All in all these are very nice additions to the "Club Sport" line of models. No, not everyone will agree of course but I have to give credit to Pioneer for even releasing these. It just gives us more to choose from which is always a good thing.
