Ratfink's Route 66 Raceway

( or Ed Roth Memorial Highway)

I used Ed Roth's characters to race as either one. It has enticed my video-game son to embrace Slot cars as he loves to race or play as a character. He loves Mario etc. so I new he would love Ratfink/Surf fink.

All the pin-striping/airbrushing I did myself. Used a ton of foam over screens for the mountains.

This was a tough project! I am also constructing  Ratfink's "Last Chance Gas" gas station and Burma-shave signs as well.

Layout is a challenging 11x5.5 layout taking up over half an 11x10 bedroom!

Artin track is more flexible than most people give it credit for!

All Banks etc. work great. It is wired for brakes and bi-directional as well.

All wiring info etc. was found on the message boards.....your message board is awesome. The rest was just imagination!

All I can say is that this layout is just fantastic! I love Ed Roth, and this theme just made me smile when I first seen it. Terrance has really put some effort into this layout to be certain, and also shows us just how creative he can be.  GREAT JOB!!!
